Most items can be sent but there are some exceptions

Although most items can be sent as hand carry in flight cabin as

part of the 7kg cabin allowance there is some restricted items as listed below:

All liquids over 100ml

If any of the above items must be sent, then the below rules must be adhered to:

Ammunition, Knives and Flammables

We cannot transport any guns or firearms as hand carry. We may be able to take them as hold luggage - special procedures need to be followed.

We cannot take any of these items as hand carry or in the hold:

  • blasting caps
  • detonators and fuses
  • imitation explosive devices (including replica or model guns)
  • mines, grenades, and other explosive military stores
  • fireworks and pyrotechnics
  • smoke canisters
  • smoke cartridges
  • dynamite
  • gunpowder
  • plastic explosives (including black powder and percussion caps)
  • flares
  • hand grenades
  • gun cigarette lighters
  • Spirits
  • Thinners
  • Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene, Paraffin and other flammable fuels
  • Solvents and flammable liquids
  • Aerosols
  • Knives
  • Scissors

Chemicals and Toxic Substances

We cannot take any of these items as hand carry or in the hold as onboard:

  • oxidisers and organic peroxides, including bleach and car body repair kits
  • acids and alkalis
  • corrosives or bleaching agents
  • vehicle batteries and fuel systems
  • self defence or disabling sprays
  • radioactive materials
  • poisons or toxic substances
  • biological hazards
  • materials that could spontaneously combust
  • fire extinguishers
